The PCAR SANE Coordinator supports and enhances existing and developing SANE (sexual assault nurse examiner) and SART (sexual assault response team) programs in Pennsylvania, building infrastructure and alliances with appropriate nonprofit and state agencies to promote consistent, professional, and victim-oriented medical and forensic response and treatment of acute sexual assault survivors.
The Prevention & Outreach Specialist supports statewide sexual violence prevention by providing training, technical assistance, outreach, and resource development for rape crisis centers, prevention educators and community partners. Through collaboration, education, and project coordination, this position helps strengthen prevention initiatives, develops practical tools and learning opportunities, and fosters collaborative relationships to strengthen evidence-informed, community-centered approaches to preventing sexual abuse, assault, and harassment.
The Public Policy Specialist supports the Public Policy Director in advancing PCAR’s public policy priorities and organizational goals. The primary responsibilities of this position are monitoring and tracking Pennsylvania General Assembly and other state government activity, conducting policy research and analysis, and developing advocacy and public policy communications. The Public Policy Specialist monitors relevant legislation, committee activity, hearings, amendments, votes, state government developments, and news; provides timely updates and analysis; and helps translate complex policy information into clear, accessible materials for PCAR’s constituents, policymakers, partners, and the public. The position contributes to public policy advocacy campaigns, policy alerts, newsletters, talking points, speeches, op-eds, press releases, and other advocacy materials. The Public Policy Specialist also provides support for the PASAC Public Policy Committee and other public policy initiatives and events. This is an on-site position with a hybrid work schedule requiring 2 days in our Harrisburg, PA office per week.
The Communications and Content Specialist supports the PCAR Communications Director in advancing Respect Together’ s mission through clear, accessible, survivor-centered communications. This position is responsible for day-to-day content development, digital communications, graphic and interactive design, campaign implementation, publication support, and communications coordination. The Specialist creates and adapts content for multiple audiences and platforms, helps maintain digital channels, and works with staff and rape crisis centers to strengthen public understanding of sexual violence prevention and survivor services. This is an on-site position with hybrid work schedule requiring 2 days in our Harrisburg, PA office per week.
