Maria Janoski is a graduate of Cornell University (A.B. English), Marywood University (M.S. Criminal Justice), and Widener University School of Law (J.D.). She is a personal injury attorney who practices throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  In 2020 she founded Janoski Law, a firm dedicated to civil justice for those who have been injured, victimized, or wronged.

Part of Maria’s law practice is devoted to civil remedies for crimes victims.  This has included clergy abuse cases and other civil cases arising from sexual assault, assault, and murder.  In 2023 she obtained a $3,485,840.00 bench verdict in a crime victim case, which was recognized as one of the top 50 bench verdicts nationwide.  She also represents clients in gender discrimination and sexual harassment employment cases.  Maria writes and speaks regularly on personal injury practice, and she’s been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star (2019-2021), a Super Lawyer (2024-2026), a Main Line Today Top Lawyer for Personal Injury (2018-2026), an Avvo Clients’ Choice Award Winner (2019-2026), and a Daily Local News Best Lawyer for personal injury (2021-2025).  She has an Avvo rating of 10.00 (superb).

Maria’s advocacy for crime victims is not limited to the courtroom.  She served two terms on the board of directors for The Crime Victims Center of Chester County, including service as secretary and then as president.

Maria is an active member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Temple American Inn of Court, and the Chester County Bar Association.  She enjoys traveling and cooking, and she is an avid runner.  To date, she has completed four full marathons and has lost track of the number of half marathons.  She lives in Downingtown, Pennsylvania.
